During the UAE Hospitality Summer Camp, Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, confirmed that the GCC unified tourist visa has been officially approved and is now in the final stages before rollout.

“The single (GCC) tourist visa has been approved and waiting now to be implemented, hopefully, soon. Now, it is with the Ministry of Interior and the relevant stakeholders and they should look into it,” said Al Marri, as reported by Khaleej Times.

This statement reinforces that the visa is no longer a proposal but an approved policy awaiting implementation by the Ministry of Interior and relevant authorities.
